The Little Mermaid

Disney’s The Little Mermaid is back by popular demand! Journey under the sea to King Triton’s enchanted world with all of Tuacahn’s unique outdoor water effects while you follow the adventures of mermaid princess Ariel. She’s fascinated by the world and lives of people on dry land, and longs to join them, though her father forbids contact. When she falls in love with a handsome human prince, Ariel is more determined than ever to gain a pair of legs, even if it means risking her soul in a deal with Ursula, the ambitious Sea Witch!

KELSEY LEE SMITH

Is thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to return to the beautiful Tuacahn stage! Last season she performed the role of Anya in ANASTASIA, Francine in JERSEY BOYS and Anna u/s in FROZEN. Some favorite roles include Ariel in FOOTLOOSE at Burbank’s Colony Theatre and Anna in FROZEN at Disneyland. Other recent credits; INVINCIBLE THE MUSICAL (music of Pat Benatar) at the Wallis Annenberg Center, and RUDOLPH the 2023 National Tour. Kelsey graduated from UCLA with a BA in Musical Theatre. Is excited to be part of the 30th season at Tuacahn Amphitheatre, where she’s grateful to contribute to its rich legacy of artistry. Her National Tour credits include Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Misérables (Broadway Revival), the Roundabout Theatre’s 1776 Revival, the 30th Anniversary tour of Annie (with Kathy Lee Gifford at Madison Square Garden), The Wizard of Oz, and The Music Man: In Concert, starring the iconic Shirley Jones.  Julie is proud to have been part of the original cast of Frozen at the Hyperion Theatre at Disneyland’s California Adventure, and is no stranger to the magic of Disney musicals.  On the regional stage, she’s performed at The Kennedy Center, Sacramento Music Circus, Ogunquit Playhouse, The REV Theatre, Stages St. Louis, TUTS, TOTS, Musical Theatre West, Pittsburgh CLO, and Kansas City Starlight.  A proud MFA Graduate from Cal State University, Fullerton, Julie is grateful for the support of her family, especially Mickey, Janna and Ellie.  Follow her journey at @juliecardia @thecardiatwins or visit www.juliecardia.com.

He is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and is a graduate from AMDA College of the Performing Arts. HUDSON SULLIVAN

M: Flounder

Is thrilled to be performing in the canyon again! Tuacahn credits include: Scrooge at 12 in A Christmas Carol, Grover Dill in A Christmas Story, Ensemble in Joseph and Elf The Musical. Hudson has understudied and performed the following roles also at Tuacahn: Young Tarzan in Tarzan, Mike Teavee in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Michael Banks in Mary Poppins, and Chip in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Hudson will be a 7th grader this fall at Vista School where he has been seen in many shows: Shrek in Shrek, Zazu in The Lion King, Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast and is a member of the Principal 2 Dance Company. Other credits include: Winthrop in The Music Man (Encore), Best of Broadway Christmas (SGMT). Hudson recently won 1st place Vocal Solo at Musical Theatre Competitions of America. Thank you to all of his teachers at Utah COPA, Vista and Encore, especially Mimi and Rebekah, as well as Scott, Mara and Sarah for this opportunity.  He would also like to thank his supportive family, especially Mom for writing this. RANDAL KEITH

Elf: Greenway, u/s Walter

RANDAL KEITH (Greenway, u/s Walter) Randal Keith, a local favorite in Saint George, has dazzled audiences with his remarkable 22 shows since 2014. From iconic roles in The Little Mermaid and The Hunchback of Notre Dame to recent performances in A Christmas Carol, Frozen, and Jersey Boys, Keith has consistently captivated audiences. His portrayal of Jean Valjean in Les Miserables on Broadway and the National tour solidified his reputation. With over 3000 performances, his rendition left an indelible mark. He also played the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera with the renowned 1st national touring company. After 16 years in Las Vegas, Keith has made Saint George his new home, showcasing his talents in Vegas productions like Spamalot, Phantom-The Las Vegas Spectacular, Steve Wynn’s Showstoppers, and BAZ Star-crossed Love. Randal Keith’s journey to Saint George exemplifies his dedication and passion for performing. Randal extends his heartfelt gratitude to Tuacahn for providing an opportunity to create unforgettable memories and feel like a cherished member of the community. He is grateful to call Tuacahn home.

ALEC TALBOTT

Elf: Ensemble

ALEC TALBOT (Ensemble) Alec grew up dancing and doing musical theatre in Nebraska, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. He spent this past summer here at Tuacahn where he was in The Little Mermaid (Flotsam- covering Scuttle), The Wizard of Oz (Ensemble, covering Tinman), and Newsies (Ensemble, covering Davey). Regional theater credits include Conrad Birdie- Bye Bye Birdie (Maine State Music Theatre), The National Tour of A Christmas Story: the Musical, Guys and Dolls at the Fireside Theater, and more. He also has been a guest artist in several ballets at Ballet California and Santa Clarita Ballet Company, and has been a choreographer for many musicals, show choirs, and competition dances.
